Indi Girls

Another day, another reason to DRESS UP...
The girls have been studying India and the Commonwealth Games at school and on Wednesday had India Day.....
Watch out Bollywood!

It was the "best day ever" according to them. Got to help prepare curry, kebabs, pappadums and minted yogurt dip for lunch.
Do you remember school ever being this fun?

If you like using HEARTS on your layouts, you need to check out the latest Elements challenge at Design Dollies. Here's mine:

The large heart is a pocket for the squillions of little tiny love letters Mia gives me every day.
Talking of things that inspire....
this book was one of my fave birthday gifts....

......order yours here and have a look at their other gorgeous stuff - journals, quotation books, cards & wrap, lunchmail tags.....but I warn you - you will want EVERYTHING in the store!

2 and a bit more days and I'll be getting in the car on my way to my first scrap retreat.
Have spent the day trying to decide what I'm going to need......who knew it would be so hard? There are so many essentials required!

Happy butterflies dancing in my tummy!

Treehouse

What a gorgeous day! Quite unexpected after a toe-numbingly cold night and huge deluge of rain yesterday (42mls in the gauge)....

What better way to spend the day than to build a TREEHOUSE.....(well, Tim and the kids did - I was stuck inside organising the tax records for the accountant tomorrow....blagh!)

How do you like that view!

Wanna see my latest creation for the Dollies?

This is the sketch.....why not have a go???

Hardly scrapped at all this week.....been totally engrossed in the last of the Millenium saga....

I will go out on a limb and say that these books are the best I have ever read in my entire life....I was cheering on the heroine as she sought her wicked revenge on the lowliest male scum......and
despite a cast of thousands and at times a rather complicated plot, it kept me totally enthralled to the very end.
I'm telling you - you have to read these books.....go on then....off you go!

Party Pics

Huge celebrations on Saturday night for my BIG FOUR*O.

Adored every minute....and didn't want it to end!
Felt very loved, special and spoilt.
Rented the venue for the whole night, turned off the music at 2am and got no sleep whatsoever....
big cook-up for brekky the next morning....
then rest of the day spent tubing and fishing at the Dam.

Woke up Monday morning feeling like a cripple from dancing the night away....oh yeah, I forgot.....I'm 40 now!

Thanks to all those forward-thinking friends and fam who picked up my camera and snapped throughout the night - here are some of the best I discovered on there....

Linda and Me....cheers Big Ears!

Me & Bron chilling out...

Electric Blue Vok Slushies all round.....

My scrummy cake - a chocoholics dream.....

My beautiful fam....

Trace and Me....

The gallery of embarrassment.....

Mummy & Me....

Getting down with my little bro Tim.....Angus impersonations to Rock N Roll Train....

Me and My Love who is the best party-organiser in the world!

Recovering at the Dam the next day with a little fishing....

while the kids were happily dragged behind the boat in the freezing water.....

A fabulous way to spend a weekend with family and good friends.....(here's my gorgeous cheeky niece Amarah)

If the next decade is anything like the last - then I couldn't hope for anything better.
Bring it on!

Golly Gosh

Yes Linda, I can hear you sniggering at my choice of words......but GOLLY GOSH it's been 3 weeks since I was here and that is far too long!

Life has been busy and hectic and time gets away too fast.....can you believe it's the start of daylight savings already? I have to say I'm not really liking it so far....didn't even think about starting dinner tonight until 7.30, which of course meant a late night for the kids. Just as well it's the middle of the school holidays I am thinking.

OK, some pics......
Renovations galore at Sunnydale right now...

Kate's 11th birthday party at the circus, where the clown played a trick on her (much to her embarrassment and our amusement!)...

A visit from an echidna helping himself to something tasty in the tree trunk....

Paddy graduated from his "puppy play pen" to a chain and a 44 under a tree, just like Dad...

....and to think this is how small he was 4 months ago....

...an early birthday pressie for moi (can you guess what's inside?)...

Some scrapping to share.....
This one was part of a Scrapping Whisper at Home & Scrapped...

A birthday theme challenge for Design Dollies...

DD sketch....

And a DD Elements Recipe (a ticket, yellow, paint, polka dots and lots of journaling....tricky huh!)

Do you like this paper???

I really REALLY do....and it's part of the stash I'm working with for the class I'm running at the retreat I'm going to very soon - my very first one ever!!! Excitement plus!

Also exciting - my birthday! Well, not the birthday so much (it's not a nice number), just the PARTY we're planning! Yay yay and double yay!
