4.  Big Love and So You Think You Can Dance are back on our screens.....also this lovely little show....

"Gourmet Farmer"....

5. If I could have my childhood back - this is the bed I would want....how totally OTT!

Weekly Catch Up

Another busy week.  Saturday already.  The rollercoaster of Term 1 sure is speeding up.

Mia's exciting news...she was Worker of the Week at school!  Here she is very proudly clutching her trophy....

....and this was not just a Kindy award - it was out of the whole K-1-2 composite class.  I can't believe how well she's doing, little pet.

While at school to take her photo with the trophy, I discovered this hanging up in the classroom....

....quite the budding little artist I am thinking!

Some layouts to share....firstly Kate and Mia's ballet concert at the end of last year....

And Beth's yellow belt grading for karate.....

...the little woven karate patches are by Karen Foster - a great find!

Other news from this week.....

We had a close encounter with a brown snake while making a new garden bed....eeeeek!  Luckily Tim was quick with the shovel (yes Linda, more bad luck for us...)

I started going to YOGA class!  I was determined to do something for myself this year, and this is it.  I did yoga for years when I lived on the coast, but not since I was expecting Bessie - 7 years ago!  It was so good, even worth the pain I felt the next day...

I am the winner of Leann's lovely little chipboard beach huts I showed you in my last post!!!!  How lucky am I?  Can't wait to play with those cuties.

Happy Valentines Day for tomorrow and thanks for popping in.

Wanna Win A Scene?

How cool would it be to add these funky little numbers to your stash!
Check out Leeann's comp and maybe you can....

The fabulous LP is also sharing a little doodle love...pick up some of her downright delicious downloadable doodly doodles while you're over there.

Sticking, cutting, crafting Saturday

What a productive little bunch we've been today.....

Kate decided to clean out the kid's craft drawers....um, Kate?  Hello?  You're supposed to actually make things tidier when you clean.....! Rediscovering all the bits and bobs hiding in there was obviously too tempting.  Who can complain?

My scrap desk doesn't look much different right now.
I've been scrapping my heart out today....

One for Beth's album.....

One for Kate's....

One to add to the Month in Review series....

And just a peek (can't spoil the surprise) of what I came up with for the first Gum Flat Class of the year....

....the workshop will be happening on the first Wednesday of March - can you make it?  A few packs featuring the yummy scrummy Bliss range by Crate Paper will be available to purchase if you can't.

Did you have a nice week?
Mia (and I) survived her first week of Kindy.  I could hardly believe it when Beth (who is in the same K12 classroom as Mimi) told me that Mia interrupts the teachers all the time with her chatter.....Mia?  My shy, hardly-says-boo, timid little girlie?  No!  Couldn't be true!

Here she is with her sisters on Friday in sports uniform....

....notice no cast on the arm?  Took her out of school Wednesday to travel all the way to Armidale to the fracture clinic.  Healed, but still weak..."No running, jumping, monkey bars or bikes for 2 weeks" the doctor tells us. Excuse me....but she is a 5 year old CHILD!  This is going to be tough....Hopefully the bandage we wrapped around it will serve as a reminder.

The clouds are teasing us with the promise of rain.....fingers crossed!
Hope your weekend is wonderful..........xxx

Monday, February 1

There she goes...

...Mia Rose, my last baby, starting out along the long road of education...
....she was up early, dressed and rearing to go with her oversized hat and oversized backpack....
....happy as Larry and full of confidence...

....it sure helps to have 2 big sisters to show you the ropes....
....they were just as excited as Mia was!
Mum, on the other hand, had a tummy swarming with butterflies and a heart bursting with pride as well as a tinge of sadness.....
Really weird to be packing THREE school lunches....

Home alone now....empty house....too quiet!
I'll let you know how I get on.
I know one thing for sure - Mimi will be having the most wonderful day and not missing me one bit!
And that's a good thing.

Here's to all the other Mum's in the same situation.
Hope you have a really nice day - you deserve it!
