Brisbane Show and Tell

Wow! What a blast! Brisbane Scrapbook Expo was FANtastic!!! Heaps of shopping and loads of lovely people. Time for show and tell.........

This was the class I did with the gorgeous Ngaire Bartlam - what a scream she is! And a genuine warm person too - very generous with her tips and ideas. Used loads of "stuff" from Heidi Grace Designs and the cutest butterfly punch (gotta get me one of those...). Not usually one to go for themed packs, but I loved the result...our old hay shed don't look half bad!

And a little closer (Ngaire is a KindyGlitz freak just like my 3 year old!) .......

And here's the celebrity shot!!!

I did the Clearly Full of Love class with Carolyn Lau, all the way from the US and co-owner of fab company Maya Road (pronounced My-a........you learn something new every day!). These clear albums are so cool, so are the foundations chipboard pieces we used (especially the cute little trees). Papers were from Piggy Tales. OMGoodness - we got sooooooo much stuff with this kit - I have enough chipboard to last for months!

And a couple more pages........

Here's me and Carolyn looking shiny and exhausted (well, it was the end of a very busy day) ....

I just LOVED this class - "In Magical Lands" with the very sweet and ultra-talented Loretta Grayson. She showed us how to create our own little "paper quilt" using a stack of cherryArte papers and Collections chipboard - and a sewing machine. This was so fun, and something I'm definitely going to try again.

And closer..............

Hands up who's coming with me next year???

Birdie Bits

Love these "Birdie Bits" papers by Dreamstreet - such cool colours and cute designs!

We used them for these double page layouts at my workshop this week. Some of us even had a play with the fantastic Rub On Tapes by Daisy D's. A fun night as always!
This is my last post before I head off to Brissy for the Papercraft Expo..........getting up at 5am for the drive (eeeeeeeeeek!) Can't wait to get there!!!
Hope you all have a great long weekend. Talk when I get back - bye!

I Want Puddles!

Where is the rain??? I hate these brown paddocks with grass that crunches under your feet. I hate that we have to hand feed the cows, they're not getting as fat as they should, and the prices are down at the saleyards. I hate that the dust blows everwhere every time the breeze comes up. I hate the horrid little person who keeps lighting grass fires on the side of the road. And I hate that we have about 2 days of water left in our tanks!

Sorry about my grumpiness people.........but we really desperately need some of the wet stuff.......today!!!

I dug out these photos from last year and scrapped them last night - just to remind me what it's like to have rain. This day we'd had so much that the back paddock was under water and we even had rapids in the creek! Beth and Mia had to strip off and jump in of course!

Note the only supplies I used were scissors, paper and pen! Paper is Daisy D's Wonder Years.

It's All About The Look!

I dedicated this latest layout to my beautiful girl, Kate and her "passion for fashion"...........at 8 and a half she is so very concerned about looking good wherever she goes! It scares me to think what she'll be like in a few years time! Perhaps by then she'll be over it................NOT!

A Talented Bunch

This is the project we did at my Gum Flat class on Wednesday night. The beautiful baby boy is the newest member of our family - nephew Jake - a second miracle IVF bubby for my brother and sister-in-law! Adorable!

Using Kaisercraft's "Rough & Tough" double sided papers we had a lot of laughs (and a few scary moments!) tearing and rolling a triple frame. So effective!

Look at these fantastic layouts the girls created - aren't they clever!
